How to organize a fun summer party!

Have you been asked to organize a birthday, work party, bachelor party, farewell party, summer party, anniversary party or something else nice and don't quite know where to start?
We've created a simple recipe that almost guarantees a full pot of joy!

Throughout the year, there are countless occasions when you can gather friends, family or colleagues and celebrate something. Life can be celebrated every day, but we can talk about that another time. Here are a few tips on how to create a cracking good event with a wonderful experience for everyone involved.

The recipe for a successful event will of course vary depending on what is being celebrated and who is coming. The starting point for this recipe is that we have the premises, or saunas as they are also called, and you have a desire to create, or be part of, as good and fun an event as possible.

Now for the recipe!

1. Fine folk

The most important ingredient. "The great thing about holding an event in the sauna is that it's an experience that binds people together, because sitting on a towel in a sweat, we're all equal and feel free. The sauna invites to good and close, mobile-free conversations, and not least a sense of community. When everyone jumps off the roof, even those who didn't think they dared, it creates lifelong memories, laughter and joy. We have room for 10 people in each sauna and they can be booked individually or together. At Aker Brygge we can accommodate a total of 40 people and at Langkaia we have the opportunity to accommodate 50 people at bathing island Saga. There will also be showers at Saga. Admittedly with cold water, but if the event is to continue elsewhere, it is still practical to be able to take a shower.

2. Happy people

There's nothing wrong with the people who come to the party being happy. But if they aren't already, we can almost guarantee that a sauna and a swim at KOK will make them so! When you emerge from the sea and stand on deck, lower your shoulders and feel your body relaxed and warm from the inside, you get an endorphin rush and a rush of happiness. Even the grumpiest in the group will smile.

3. A pleasant room

The objective truth is that it doesn't get much nicer than a sauna rocking on the water, with a fire in the stove, a dose of fragrant steam from the stones and up to 80 degrees enveloping the body. In time, our sauna masters can provide aufguss - a ritual with steam that is guided around the sauna, essential oils with various effects and atmospheric music. If you want to ensure that you get an aufguss during your event, please contact oslo@koknorge.no.

4. A great playlist

Music sets the mood like nothing else. We have wireless music systems in all our saunas and we certainly don't interfere with what kind of music you play. Or whether it's meditation, rain sounds, birds chirping or something else you want to listen to.

5. Something well served

A drink is a natural part of having an event in the sauna. It's hot, we sweat, and we need to hydrate. Water works best, but if you rent the entire sauna as a PRIVATE COOK or COOKING TOUR, you are also allowed to bring 2 units of alcoholic beverages per person if desired. And from the end of May, we also have Badstupils for sale on the Saga beach island on Langkaia. It's a citrusy light beer at 2.4%, which means that you can drink several without feeling cramped the next day. No food is allowed inside the sauna itself, but light snacks can be enjoyed on deck or in the changing room.

There were five ingredients, and one great event! Book Private sauna or The sauna cruise if you are 10 or fewer, and send us an email at oslo@koknorge.no if you are several people who want to have saunas next to each other or rent the entire Saga.
